10CFR50, Appendix B, Criterion V, Instructions, Procedures, and Drawings, requires, in part, that Activities affecting quality shall be prescribed by documented instructions, procedures, or drawings, of a type appropriate to the circumstances and shall be accomplished in accordance with these instructions, procedures, or drawings. Contrary to the above, the
VEGP Work Order Functional Test procedure (29401-C) was not adequate in that it lacked specific guidance to conduct a fan rotational check following any maintenance resulting in the determination of
ESF fan motor electrical cables. This finding is of very low safety significance (Green) due to the fact that subsequent analysis performed to evaluate the impact to electrical equipment concluded all associated safety-related equipment would have continued to perform its intended function and did not result in the loss of safety system function. The licensee has documented this condition in CR 2006110981.
