ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE NO. 9288 FOR THE MODEL NO. CHT-OP-TU PACKAGE
Dear Mr. Shaw:
As requested by your application dated March 9, 2020 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML20069D772), as supplemented on July 8, 2020 (ADAMS Accession No. ML20190A196), enclosed is Certificate of Compliance No. 9288, Revision No. 12, for the Model No. CHT-OP-TU package. Changes made to the enclosed certificate are indicated by vertical lines in the margin. The staffs safety evaluation report is also enclosed.
The approval constitutes authority to use the package for shipment of radioactive material and for the package to be shipped in accordance with the provisions of Title 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations (49 CFR) 173.471. Those on the attached list have been registered as users of the package under the general license provisions of 10 CFR 71.17 or 49 CFR 173.417.
Registered Users may request by letter to remove their names from the Registered User List.

SAFETY EVALUATION REPORT Docket No. 71-9288 Model No. CHT-OP-TU Package Certificate of Compliance No. 9288 Revision No. 12 EVALUATION By letter dated March 9, 2020 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML20069D772), as supplemented on July 8, 2020 (ADAMS Accession No. ML20190A196), TN Americas LLC., requested renewal of Certificate of Compliance No.
9288 for the Model No. CHT-OP-TU transportation package. TN not request any changes to the package design, operating procedures, acceptance tests or maintenance program, however, TN did inform anything NRC that it has moved and provided a new address. The staff considered the name change as administrative in nature.
These changes do not affect the ability of the package to meet the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 71.
CONDITIONS Item 3.a. was revised to change TNs address.
Condition No. 9 was revised to reflect the new expiration date of July 31, 2025.
The references section has been updated to include the renewal and change of address requests.
CONCLUSION Based on the statements contained in the application, and the conditions listed above, the staff concludes that the changes indicated do not affect the ability of the package to meet the requirements of 10 CFR Part 71.
