Serial No. 278, In regard to our Mr. Lowell-- E. Roe's -letter,-dated May-17,1977, concerning- -
a preventive maintenance program-to be. developed within nine months of the issuance of the Operating-License-to insure-the-appropriate--
periodic-recalibration1f instruments used-to determineicompliance-with Technical Specifications, but whose calibration requirements-were not specifically delineated in the Technical Specifications, we wish to inform you that we have found it necessary to revise our schedule for the -completion-of our4reventive maintenance; program.-The current status of the. preventive maintenance program is as follows:-
The preventive-maintenance program-for electrical-equipment is _
completed and implemented.
The preventive maintenance-program for instrumentation is 55%
completed. Instrumentation is checked on a routine basis and calibration is being performed when it is apparent that there is a calibration problem.
The original schedule was not met due to the press of manpower and workload priorities, and the difficulty of not having a data base to schedule preven-tive maintenance.
Based upon our revised schedule, the preventive maintenance program will be developed and implemented within thirteen (13) months of the issuance of the Operating License.
