SUMMARY

Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico License No.: 42-23539-01AF Docket No.: 030-28641 EA-18-072 On September 20, 2018, representatives of the Department of the Air Rorce (licensee) met with U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) personnel in the Region IV Office located in Arlington, Texas, to discuss apparent violations identified in NRC Inspection Report 030-28641/2018-001 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System [ADAMS] Accession ML 18208A 144 ). The NRC provided opening remarks and described the enforcement process. The licensee presented a summary of the apparent violations, timeline for violation resolution, causes of the apparent violations, and corrective actions for the apparent violations.

The meeting participants also discussed the significance of each violation.

The attendance list, the NRC's presentation, and the licensee's presentation are attached to this summary. In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure," a copy of this summary will be made available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the NRC's ADAMS, accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www
