Actionitems1and2,therefore, donotpertaintoGinnaStation.ThereisonePacificScientific Companymechanical snubberinstalled onasafety-related systematGinnaStation.It.isamodelPSA-3andisinstalled ontheBsteamgenerator blow-downline.Itislocatedinsidecontainment andisnotnormallyaccessible duringreactoroperation.

A'dditional PacificScientific snubbersarepresently instorageandareplannedtobeinstalled onsafety-related systems.EachofthePacificScientific snubberswassubjected toafinalfunctional testpriortoshipmenttoverifythatdragforceswerewithinthespecified range.Theinstalled snubberhasbeeninserviceonlysincelastNovember.

Freedomofmovementisrequiredofeachsnuboertoenableinstallation.

Asdescribed inthesubjectbulletin, theinstalled PSA-3snubberwillbevisuallyexaminedandmanuallytestedduring'he spring1981refuel-ingoutage.Themechanical snubbersinstoragewillbeexaminedaspre-scribedpriortoinstallation.

Theresultsoftheinspection oftheinstalled mechanical snubberswillbesubmitted within60daysaftercompletion.
