Page2November16,1987,andbecamethesystemofrecorddoseonApril1,1988,fortheSGRPproject.Finetuningofreportformatsandtheincorporationofuseridentifiedneedsison-going.6.00eatonalRadiationProtectioThePRPAG-OperationalRadiationProtectionGrouphascompletedprogramdevelopment,begunstaffaugmentationandcompletedtheset-upofRadiationProtectionareasinthenewContainmentAccessBuilding(CAB).Thisincludedthecountingroom(2HPGicountersand1proportionalcounter),theinstrumentarea,theRadiationWorkPermitarea(PRISMterminalsandofficeareas),personneldecontaminationareasandaccess/egressroutesintotheRadiationControlArea.Staffinglevelsduringtheperiodgrewto65technicianstosupportProjectworkactivities.Therehavebeenthreepersonnelcontaminations,oneexposureinvestigation(lostTLD)andoneRadiologicalOccurrencePeportduringtheperiod.7.0SuortServicesArrangementsforthepurchaseorleaseofprotectiveclothing,expendablesupplies,supportfacilitiesandequipmentcontinuedduringtheperiod.OnApril14,1988,14SupportServicesTechnicianscompletedinitialtraining.Themobilerespiratorcleaning/repairfacilitywasreceivedonApril18,1988,andwasavailableforuseMay13,1988.Aninitialstockof440respiratorshavebeenmadeavailableforservice.8.0RadwasteTheRadwasteGroupcompleteddevelopmentoftheProjectRadwastePlaninJanuary1988.MajorobjectivesofthisplancalledforconstructionofaRadwasteSupportBuilding,contractingforoff-siteprocessingservices,implementationofacomputerizedWasteTrackingandManifestingSystem,anddevelopmentofprogramprocedures.TheconstructionoftheRadwasteSupportBuildingbeganFebruary26,1988,andwascompletedMay16,1988.Acontractwasawardedforoff-siteprocessingofRadwaste.AcontractwasawardedforthepurchaseofacomputerizedWasteTrackingandManifestingSystemandinstallationofthesystemwasscheduledforMay17and18,1988.NineRadwasteProcedureshavebeendevelopedandissued.ThefirstRadwasteTechniciansarrivedon-siteMay2,1988,andcompletedtrainingonMay16,1988.9.0ALA~ThePRPAGALARAGroupcompleted82planningstageworkpackageALARAreviewsoutofatotal126.Duringthesereviewsholdpoints,specialALARANotesandCautionsand'trainingrequirementswereintroducedintotheworkpackages.Thirty-sevenshieldingandfourcontainmentrequestshavebeenreceivedandareinprogress.Fivepre-jobbriefingshavebeenperformed.
