December 10, 2025 On behalf of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), I am responding to your October 29, 2025, letter regarding the NRC's proposed in-situ recovery (ISR) rulemaking. As part of the implementation of Executive Order (EO) 14300, the NRC is conducting a wholesale review of our regulations and supporting framework. The ISR rulemaking has been incorporated into the NRC's efforts under EO 14300. Your submission on the ISR rule has been shared with the team working on the proposed rule language for consideration in their ongoing efforts. Please note that the public will be afforded an opportunity to review and comment on the proposed changes prior to their going into effect.
