Dear Robert W. Oesterle:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff received and reviewed your email titled PY and BV FOF - request for schedule date change (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession Number ML25066A148). Your email stated that VISTRA requests to swap the NRC-conducted force-on-force (FOF) inspections at Perry Nuclear Power Plant Unit 1 and Beaver Valley Power Station Units 1 & 2 to separate the inherent impacts of the inspection activities from the refueling outage mobilization/de-mobilization. In the email it also states that these sites have agreed to swap the current dates of the scheduled inspections with each other.
The staff finds it reasonable to swap the NRC-evaluated FOF inspection dates of Perry and Beaver Valley and therefore approves the new schedule. Perrys currently scheduled NRC-evaluated FOF inspection in May/June 2025 will be subsequently rescheduled to August 2025; Beaver Valleys currently scheduled NRC-evaluated FOF inspection in August 2025 will be subsequently rescheduled to May/June 2025.
