The Southern Nuclear Operating Company, a Southern Company subsidiary, has filed application for renewal of a license to operate Plant Farley. I live within sight of the condensation that sometimes rises from the cooling towers.
This sight reminds me of what I take for granted in the form of safe and affordable electricity. If all corporate neighbors were of the caliber of Plant Farley we would probably have little need for oversight.
I urge quick approval for the license renewal application. Plant Farley, the employees, and the economic impact on Southeast Alabama, help make this a wonderful place to live.
