This letter forwards Revision 8 of the Beaver Valley Power Station (BVPS) Physical Security Plan (PSP) to reflect implementation of the revised requirements in 10 CFR Part 73.55, which were effective on March 31, 2010. The PSP was issued in its entirety and is consistent, except as noted in Attachment A, with the guidance provided in NEI 03-12, Revision 6, "Template for the Security Plan, Training and Qualification Plan, Safeguards Contingency Plan [and Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation Security Program]" which was endorsed by NRC letter dated April 9, 2009.
The changes were reviewed and judged not to decrease the safeguards effectiveness of the BVPS Physical Security Plan. Accordingly, this revision is being submitted in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(p)(2).
The enclosed revision of the BVPS Physical Security Plan is Safeguards Information and must be withheld from disclosure under the provisions of 10 CFR 73.21.
