SUMMARY

OF -OPERATING EXPERIENCE UNIT TWO JULY, 1980 7-1 to 7-26 Unit Two started the month operating at a power level of 580 MWe._

On July 26-at 223~, the Unit was taken off system; and shortly thereafter, the reactor was manually scrammed to comply with I.E.

Bulletin 80-17.

7-26 to 7-29.

Unit Two commenced its scheduled testing

-of the CRD system to verify that-the "as-built" d~signis functional per-LE.

- The Unit successfully completed testing required by I.E.Bulletin 80-17 and was

-placed on line at _1340 on July 29 and

  • operated _the remainder of the month at an average power level* of 494 MWe, with-a capacity fac~or of 60% for the entiT-e month.

SVMMARY OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE UNIT THREE

  • Unit Three started the month oper-ating at a power level of 770 MWe.

On July 19 at 0234, the Unit was taken off system; and shortly thereafter, the reactor was manually scrammed to comply with I~E.Bulletin 80-17.

7...,19 to 7-20 Unit Three commenced its scheduled testing of.the CRD system to verify that the "as-built" design is functional per I.E.Bulletin 80-17.

  • 7-20 to 7-31 The Unit successfully completed test~
  • was placed on line at 2200 on July 20 and operated the remaind.er of the month
