& Light Company (FPL) submits herewith a
request to amend Facility Operating Licensing DPR-67 for St. Lucie Unit l.
On July 2,
- 1984, the NRC issued Generic Letter (GL) 84-15 "Proposed Staff Actions to Improve and Maintain Diesel Generator Reliability" which presented NRC recommendations regarding improvements to the Technical Specifications to enhance diesel generator reliability.
As a result of GL 84-15, and subsequent discussions related to Technical Specification improvements for emergency diesel generators for St. Lucie Unit 2, FPL submits the enclosed.
This proposed license amendment will make the St. Lucie Unit 1 Technical Specifications fc~~ "Electrical Power Systems, A.

Technical Specifications.
Marked up copies of the affected Technical Specifications pages are included as Attachment 1.
A Safety Analysis in support of the proposed amendment is included as Attachment 2.
A "Determination of No Significant Hazards Consideration" is provided as Attachment 3.
