Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.90, Florida Power
& Light Company (FPL) reguests to amend Facility Operating License DPR-67 for St. Lucie Un3.t 1.
The amendment w3.11 revise Technical Specifications (TS) 3/4.4.13 to incorporate Low Temperature Overpressure Protection (LTOP) requirements similar to those reccemended by the NRC staff via Genera.c Letter 90-06.
The proposed changes are in accordance with the resolution of Generic Issue 94 for St. Lucie Units 1 and 2
(Reference
- 1).
FPL requests that NRC grant 60 days, from the date of issuance, to implement the approved amendment.
Attachment 1 contains a copy'f the appropriate TS pages marked-up to show the proposed changes.
Attachment 2 is an evaluation of the proposed TS changes.
Attachment 3 is the "Determination of No Significant Hazards Consideration."
The proposed amendment has been reviewed by the St. Lucie Facility Review Group and the Florida Power
& Light Company Nuclear Review Board.
In accordance with 10 CFR 50.91 (b)(1),
a copy of the proposed amendment is being forwarded to the State Designee for the State of Florida.
