Operating License No. DPR-50 Docket No. 50-269 Fire Protection Program-Cable Separation Your letter of March 30, 1979, concerned the fire barriers separating cables that run through the Control Building area CB-1.
You requested that Met-Ed:(1) submit information demonstrating the ability of the presently installed barriers to provide protection for redundant Jables from the effects of an exposure fire, or (2) commit to upgrade the fire barriers as necessary to provide the needed protection baseri on the results of the analyses / tests beiag con 1ucted in accordance wit ! Please be advised that the configuration of the cables running through
. Control Building area C3-1 is included in the scope of the scheduled cable separation tests (see our letter of May 18, 1979, GQL 0692, for a description of the tests) being conducted in accordance with Item 3.2.2.
Therefo e, the fire barriers vill be modified, if necessary, based on the results if the tests.
