SUBJECT:
MEETING WITH GENERAL ELECTRIC ON EFFECT OF 10 CFR PART 72 ON MORRIS OPERATION RENEWAL OPERATION The subject meeting was held on November 20, 1980.
A list of meeting attendees is attached.
Mr. Herrington reminded the meeting attendees that the General Electric Comoany (GE) informed the presiding Atomic Safety and Licensing Board on the renewal application that the company intended to submit the information required under 10 CFR Part 72 by January 12, 1981. He discussed in a general way how GE would address each of the specifically itemized sections of Part 72 listed in the letter from the NRC staff of November 12, 1980 and the entire regulation.
Mr. Stickler provided background information on the GE Ccmpany's present operator certification program and how they planned to meet Part 72, Subpart I requirements.
Dr. Clark provided copies of the NRC generic branch position on operator certification to the meeting attendees, f
