Dear Mr. Peters:
I am responding to your letter received January 23, 1990,- and the telephone conversation with nty staff on February 12, 1990, concerning use of packages under the general license provisions of 10 CFR 671.12.
The general license provisions of 10 CFR $71.12 are applicable to packages that have been approved by the Commission upon providing the information required and meeting the other conditions of the general license.
In this regard, we need the package identification number (item Ic.) specified in the package approval issued by-the U.S.' Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
