50-328 In accordance with 10 CFR Part 50.59, we are enclosing 40 copies of a requested amendment to the ops.mting licenses DPR-77 and DPR-79 to change the Sequoyah Nuclear Plant units 1 and 2 technical specifications (Enclosure 1).

The proposed amendment requests a change in the surveillance requirements for

the Emergency Gas Treatment System (EGTS) cleanup subsystems. The justification to support those proposed changes is provided in Enclosure 2.

U In accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR Part 170.22, we have determina 1 the proposed amendment to be Class III for unit 1 and Class I for unit 2.

These classifications are based on the facts that the changes involve a single 7

H safety issue and that the changes apply to two identical units on the same site. The remittance fee of $4400 is being wired to the Nuclear Ragulatory Commission, Attention: Licensing Fee Management Branch.
