We are uncuro after an initial inventigation if a part 21 notice is applicable and roacrve our right to retract said " Notification".
A brief doncription of the situation ic as followar 1.
Alnor Instrument Co.
is a manuf acturer of air flow measuring equipment.
Scvoral of our producta are sold to Nuclear Liconnees, and we havo boon put on notice that somo of those products are subject to 10 cFR 21, 2.
Wo discovered
- today, November 25, 1992 that the calibration, vind tunnel, for our model 8500 Thermo Anomometer is out of spocification. (non attached brochuro) 3.
We have calibrated, to the best of our knowledge, 8 of those instruments for licensees in the past 12 months.
Recommended calibration intervalo are overy 12 months or less.

We have not sold any now units to any licennoos in tho l
past 12 months.

To our knowledge none of the calibrationo performed waro subject to 10 CFR part 21.
However, a sister instrument which performs substantially the same functions, the AP 6000.Velomotor, i
is quito commonly cold and calibrated for licenseon which havo l

Mifflin, PA Consumern Power, Jackson MI Niagara Mohawk, Lycoming, NY Dabcock and Wilcox, Naval Nuclear Fuel Div., Lynchburg, VA Portland Gas and Electric, Trojan Plant 8.
All licenseen will be contacted by phono on Monday the 30th of Hovember, followed by written instructions to return the inntruments for to calibration.

A full report will be submitted in a tinnly mannor as prescribed by the regulations.
It requented, further details will be providod on Monday, November 30, 1992 or an our investigation reveals further need to report.
