Millstone Nuclear Power Station, Unit No. 3 Response to Request for AdditionalInformation Generic Letter 83-28, Post-Trip Review In Reference (1), Northeast Nuclear Energy Company (NNECO) indicated that an operating procedure regarding the post-trip review program for Millstone Unit No. 3 would be available for NRC Staff review. In Reference (2), you requested that we provide this operating procedure so that the NRC Staff may complete its review of our program.
NNECO also indicated in Reference (1) that Millstone Nuclear Power Station Administrative Control Procedures (ACPs) 1.07, " Communications, Outside Assistance, and Response" and 6.01, " Control Room Procedure" provided guidance for post-trip recovery. The guidance provided in these procedures has been superseded by ACP 6.15, " Post-Trip and Transient Review" which implements Northeast Utilities' Nuclear Engineering and Operations Procedure NEO 8.02 of the same title. This new specific procedure ensures consistent philosophy and practices for performing post-trip review and is attached for your information and review.
