SUBJECT:
Arkansas Nuclear One - Unit 1 Docket No. 50-313 License No. OPR-51 Pressurized Thermal Shock Submittal Required By 10CFR50.61
Dear Mr. Stolz:
10CFR50.61 requires that projected values of RT at the expiration date of theoperatinglicensebedeterminedandsubmitt$bgfor each PWR with an operating license.
These values for all B&W reactors including Arkansas Nuclear One, Unit 1 (ANO-1), have been submitted by the B&W Owners Group Materials Committee in BAW-1895.
AP&L wishes to formally reference this document on our docket.
As stated in BAW-1895, ANO-1 does not exceed the NRC screening criteria for pressurized thermal shock before the expiration date of the operating license.
The most limiting welii, WF-112, is a circumferential weld with a current RT value of 201"F and a RT value of251"FattheoperatinglicenseexpihIkiondate.
Therefore, nofbrther action is required by 10CFR50.61.
Very truly yours, tL l
