Dear Mr. Wilson:

The staff has requested clarification concerning the information in the reference related to the location of the Hydrogen Igniters as presented in revisions 0 and 3 of the AP600 probabilistic risk assessment (PRA) report.

As noted in the reference, the location of the Hydrogen Igniters was moved from the PRA report (Chapter 16 of Revision 0 and Chapter 48 of Revision 3) to Section 6.2 of the SSAR in Revision 11 as nonproprietary information. The information that was contained in the PRA report specifically concerning the location of the Hydrogen Igniters no longer reflects the plant design or considered to be proprietary by Westinghouse. However, the figures used to indicate the location of the Hydrogen Igniters was based on the AP600 SSAR Revision 0 general arrangement drawings containing certain information which Westinghouse does still consider proprietary as discussed in the l

reference.

2 Therefore, the figures from Revision 0 and Revision 3 of the PRA which indicate the location of the Hydrogen igniters should be considered proprietary. Nonproprietary versions of the AP600 general arrangement drawings were provided in Revision 7 of the SSAR.
