Purpose:

To provide the Agreement States with the opportunity to comment on the proposed revisions to the Management Directive (MD) and Handbook 5.8, Proposed Section 274B.

Background:

Proposed revision of MD and Handbook 5.8, Proposed Section 274B.

Agreements with States with tracked changes.

Discussion: Enclosed for your review and comment0F1 are the draft revisions to MD and Handbook 5.8, Proposed Section 274B. Agreements with States. MD 5.8 reflects changes resulting from update of the language in the standard agreement made by the Commission as a result of the Vermont Agreement. This revision also reflects the reorganization and subsequent changed responsibilities of the Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards.
