During the October 11, 1988 monthly briefing of NMSS senior staff by the Offices of Investigations and Enforcement, we discussed the status of the 3M l

case. One topic of particular interest was the number of 3M static i

eliminators that had not yet been returned to 3M and we would like more l

details on this subject.

1 Your October 5,1988 memorandum transmitted 3M's September 19, 1988 cover i

l letter for its seventh 30-day report.

That cover letter indicated that, as of i

September 16, 1988, 6721 devices had not been returned.

3M'.* report lists each

unreturned device with pertinent customer identification information and a status code.

Please obtain the following additiona) information from 3M on this report.
