This letter is to acknowledge receipt of the revised' pages dated March 1985 and June 1986, as submitted in your letters of March"8;i1985 and June 16, 1986, for the Vallecitos Nuclear Center Radiologicaldoptingency Plan. We apologize for not previously acknowledging the recehit of the 1985 revisions.

Both sets of revisions are acceptable and have repigced:the appropriate pages in your plan, although we do find one change questioitable.

du, In Section 7.4 of your plan, the schedule -for plaWrbli'ew was changed from an annual to biennial review. The Guidelines for< Radio}og'ical Contingency Plans (NUREG-0762) specifically states there should be an genual review of all radiological contingency plans.

DuringaphonecalbtoMr.GaryComfortof the NRC on July 14, Mr. Earl Strain of Vallecitos Nuclear. Center stated that Vallecitos would continue to review its radiological! tontingency plan at least annually. We believe that the annual review (schedule should be reinstated in your contingency plan and request a revised page returning to an annual review schedule be included with your next submission of radiological contingency plan revisions.
