WITHDRAWAL OF DECOMMISSIONING PLAN FOR CURATORS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI, NRC LICENSE NO. 24-00513-32
Dear Mr. Register:
The Curators of the University of Missouri submitted a proposed Decommissioning Plan for Pickard Hall dated November 8, 2019 (ML19312C596), and a revision to that on February 8, 2021 (ML21048A144). We received your letter (ML22096A027) dated April 5, 2022, withdrawing the proposed Decommissioning Plan. Therefore, this action has been administratively closed. This administrative closure is without prejudice as you stated you will resubmit a revised Decommissioning Plan to the NRC for review and approval at a future date.
Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Section 30.36 provides the conditions under which a Decommissioning Plan is required to be submitted and approved to the NRC for certain decommissioning activities.
To facilitate the timely decommissioning of Pickard Hall, we request that you contact Mr. Bill Lin of my staff within ten days of the date of this letter to schedule a pre-application meeting. The purpose of the pre-application meeting will be to discuss NRC requirements and guidance pertinent to the development and submittal of a new Decommissioning Plan, as well as to establish initial milestones for your submittal and the NRCs subsequent review.
In accordance with 10 CFR Section 2.390 of the NRCs Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the NRCs ADAMS accessible from the NRC Web site at https://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
