Category: This is an Observation Meeting. This is a meeting in which attendees will have an opportunity to observe the NRC performing its regulatory function or discussing regulatory issues. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed following the business portion of the meeting; however, the NRC is not actively soliciting comments towards regulatory decisions at this meeting.
Purpose:
The NRC staff will discuss with Constellation Energy the proposed exceptions for independence and operating bypass in Clauses 5.6.1, 6.6 and 7.4 of IEEE-603-1991, as identified in the Limerick digital instrumentation and controls license amendment request.
The purpose of the meeting is for the staff to gain a better understanding of the licensees approach to address the compliance basis with 10 CFR 50.55(a) and path forward for providing additional justification.
