Dear Mr. Warden:

Enclosed is an application (XB1364) dated February 16, 2023, received by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, from Eckert & Ziegler Isotope Products, requesting export of two sources of Co-57, each containing 0.000444 terabecquerels (TBq), for a max total quantity of 0.000888 TBq total, used for the calibration of the single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) camera that is used in patient imaging for the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology / National Institute of Heart Diseases (AFIC / NIHD), in Pakistan.

Before acting on this request, we appreciate your views on this application, in accordance with 10 CFR 110.41, from the overall perspective of the Executive Branch, as to whether the requested export meets the applicable criteria in the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended.
