  • Federal Register Notice 84 FR 27662 (https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2019- 06-13/pdf/2019-12425.pdf ) dated June 13, 2019, describes procedures to be followed with respect to meetings conducted by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commissions (NRCs) Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS) pursuant to the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) and NRC implementing regulations found at Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 7, Advisory Committees. Members of the public who desire to provide written or oral input for ACRS Full Committee and Subcommittee meetings may do so and should contact the designated federal official (DFO) five days prior to the meeting, as practicable. In addition, there will be time allotted at each meeting for the public provide oral comment. The DFO will be listed in the FRN for Full Committee meetings and the agendas for Subcommittee meetings.
  • Participants on the public line will be muted except when the subcommittee Chairman opens the meeting to public comment.
  • When appropriate, members of the public and representatives of the nuclear industry may provide their views during the briefings at the designated or announced times, depending on the progress of the meeting.
  • Presentation time should not exceed 50 percent of the total time allocated for a given item. The remaining 50 percent of the time is reserved for discussion.
  • One (1) electronic copy of the presentation materials should be provided to the ACRS staff 24-48 hrs in advance of the meeting.
