PUBLIC MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT
TITLE: Probabilistic Risk Assessment Configuration Control Significance Determination Process Meeting
DATE AND TIME: March 21, 2024, 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM (EDT)
LOCATION: Webinar Hybrid NRC Headquarters, Two White Flint North, Room TWFN-06D40
CATEGORY: Observation Public meeting - This is a meeting in which attendees will have an opportunity to observe the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) performing its regulatory function or discussing regulatory issues. Attendees will have a n opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed following the business portion of the meeting, however the NRC is not actively soliciting comments towards regulatory decisions at this meeting.
PURPOSE: To continue the discussion between the NRC staff, industry stakeholders and the public regarding enhancing the NRCs oversight of the licensees implementation of its Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) Configuration Control (PCC) process. Specifically, the staff will discuss pro posals related to the Significance Determination Process (SDP) with re spect to PCC issues. This meeting will offer an opportunity for the indu stry and public to provide feedback on the effort and on the staffs recommendation to enhance the oversight efforts associated with PCC.
