Dear DFM Director,

In accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding between our agencies, I request that you review the attached French Certificate of Approval No. F/381/AF-96, Revision En, for the TNF-XI package and make a recommendation concerning our revalidation of the package for import and export use. Please note that the NRC has previously reviewed this package under docket 71-9301 and docket 71-3092 and has issued Certificate of Compliance USA/9301/AF-96 for some of the contents authorized by the French certificate. I request that you provide your recommendation regarding the modification of authorized level of impurities of Content No. 2 and Content No. 9 as described in the French certificate To assist you in your review, our applicant, TN Americas LLC / Orano has electronically provided copies of the safety analysis report and supporting documents for the TNF-XI package to your staff.
