PROPOSED NEI 23-03 GUIDANCE ON THE 50.59 PROCESS FOR DIGITAL APPLICATIONS (EPID: L-2023-NFG-0002)
On August 24, 2023, (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession No. ML23207A186), the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held a public meeting with the National Organization of Test, Research, and Training Reactors (TRTR) staff to continue to discuss endorsement of Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) 23-03. A list of attendees is provided as an enclosure to this memorandum.
During the meeting, NRC and TRTR representatives discussed the NRC staff comments made to Section 1 and Section 4 of the NEI 23-03 document. No comments were accepted and TRTR stated they required more time to respond to the specific NRC comments. Representatives at the meeting scheduled the next meeting to review the TRTR comment responses to section 1 and 4 in a public meeting set for September 14, 2023. There were no public member present in the meeting.
