Harmonization of Transportation Safety Requirements with IAEA Standards [RIN 3150-AJ85; NRC-2016-0179].

  • Description of the document: The NRC, in consultation with the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), is proposing to amend its Packaging and Transportation of Radioactive Material regulations primarily to conform to the recent revisions to the International Atomic Energy Agency standards for the international transportation of radioactive material, and to maintain consistency with DOT regulations.
  • Dates: The public comment period will end 75 days after publication.
