Dear Mr. Flaharty:
This is in further response to your letter dated April 11, 1985, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), three categories of records regarding Chem-Nuclear, Inc., and Waste Management, Inc.
In our May 15, 1985, response, we informed you of two previous responses to F0IA requests for similiar records. We have identified another prior request (FOIA-84-550) for similiar records. Copies of that request and NRC's response letters, listed on the enclosed Appendix B, are enclosed.
The documents listed on Appendix C are being placed in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR)locatedat1717HStreet,NW, Washington,DC20555.
The documents identified in the response letters to F0!A-84-550 and the docu-ments listed on Appendix C may be obtained from the PDR. We are enclosing a notice which explains procedures and charges for obtaining records from the PDR.
For your information, the Sierra Club publication, "The Waste Paper," Winter 1984. Vol. 6 No. 3 contains an article on South Dakota. You may be able to locate this publication in your local public library.
The NRC has not completed its search for and review of documents subject to your request. We will respond as soon as those actions are completed.
