Dear Dir. Warden:

Enclosed is an application dated February 14, 2022, received by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission from Diversified Scientific Services, Inc., requesting Amendment No. 06 to license XW008 for the export of Class A, B, and/or C radioactive waste containing carbon-14, hydrogen-3, mixed fission product radionuclides and other contaminates. The total activity of the radioactive waste shall not exceed 74.37 Terabecquerels, per shipment.

The purpose of the amendment is to extend the validity of the license from March 31, 2022 until March 31, 2027.

As a matter of process, and in accordance with 10 CFR Part 110.82, the application will be public for 30 days before the NRC takes any action on them. If no dissenting public comments are received, and all applicable legal requirements are satisfied, the NRC will issue the amended license, after the 30-day comment period.
