Dear Mr. Favret:

Enclosed is a copy of the extension of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the U.S.

Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) that provides reaffirmation of the Center for Radiation Protection Knowledge (Center) at DOEs Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Environmental Sciences Division, Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

The intent of the MOU is to help maintain and preserve U.S. expertise in radiation dosimetry and to ensure that Federal radiation programs are based on the best available information and applied in a consistent manner.
