ACCEPTANCE OF PROPOSED SAFEGUARDS REVIEWING OFFICIAL
Dear Mr. Pappano:
This is in response to your June 28, 2021, letter (Agencywide Documents Access and Management Systems (ADAMS) Accession Number ML21183A189) submitting one individual for U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) review and approval as a Safeguards Reviewing Official. The individual is Jennifer Wheeler, Director of Regulatory Affairs.
We have completed our review of your submittal. The NRC staff has determined that the individual meets the criteria specified in NRC Order EA-07-086, Oder Imposing Fingerprinting and Criminal History Records Check Requirements for Unescorted Access to Radioactive Material or Other Property, dated April 30, 2007. Therefore, the individual named above is authorized to serve as X-Energy safeguards reviewing official.
Reviewing officials must maintain and protect all fingerprints and Federal Bureau of Investigation criminal history records, other related records, and are authorized to grant access to Safeguards Information, as specified in the Orders. Please note that if X-Energy, LLC wishes to assign new or additional reviewing officials, the NRC must approve each individual before they can act in that position.
In accordance with 10 CFR, Section 2.390, Public inspections, exemptions, requests for withholding, of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this communication will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room, or from the NRCs ADAMS. The ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
