Consistent with the requirenents of 10 CFR 170.12(f) and 170.21.J. we ,
have determined the professional staff hours and contractual costs for the review of the following topical reports:
- 1. EPRI CCil-5 "RETRAll - A Program for One-Dimensional Transient Thenaal liydraulic Analysis of Complex Fluid Flow Systems," submitted 1 for review on October 22, 1979, approved by a Septenber 4,1984 letter and Enclosure 1, and ,
- 2. EPRI HP-1850-CCii "RETRAN-02." submitted for review on October 26, 1981, approved by a September 4,1984 letter and Enclosure 2.
While Itea 2. was stated to be an extension of Item 1, each report is being assessed fees as a separate report inasmuch as they have different limitations and capabilities and were submitted and accepted as two reports addressing two vert lon3 of the reactor system transient code.
The total revicw cost for these reports was $306,494. Under the provisions .-

of 10 CFR 170, the review cost for each topical report is limited to a maximum of $20,000. We are concurrently requesting the fiRC's Office of Resource !!anagement to bill your organization $20,000 for each of the completed reviews for Items 1 and 2 above. When making payment, please reference the assigned invoice number.
Enclosed is a copy of the "NRC Procedures for Extending Payment Dates of License Fee Billings". These procedures address extensions for payments as well as disputed bills, interest and penalty charges.
