This letter is to confirm our recent telephone conversation regarding your l meeting with officials from the French nuclear regulatory authority. Autorite de Surete Nucleaire (DSIN). to discuss regulation of nuclear waste. On September 10, 1997. I will accompany Messrs. Olivier Brigaud.-Deputy Director l -of the Laboratories and Industrial Plants, and Jacques Rabouhams. Senior Executive. International Relations, to your office to discuss EPA activities related to recycling and alternative methods for disposal. The agenda for our

visit to EPA is attached. The visitors from France will also be meeting with NRC-staff on September 9, 1997, and visiting three commercial waste processing companies and a DDE facility, all located in Oak Ridge. Tennessee. later in the same week.
