SUMMARY
Scope: This inspection included a review of the ciccumstances of a licensee
reported incident of failure to provide pcsitive accon control to a vital area
as a result of a posted security officer being asleep on pest as observed by the
NRC Eesident Inspector on January 15, 1987. In addition, *. concern regarding
the degradation of the protected area barrier identified by the NRC Resident
Inspector on January 14, 1987, was also reviewed.
Results: A violation of regulatory requirements relating to the failure to
provide positive access control to a vital area was confirmed.
