Dear Mr. Varley:
Carlton Kammerer's letter to you of June 1, 1987 indicated that he had referred your May 4 letter to me. We appreciate your taking the time and interest to comment on the Advanced Light Water Reactor Utility Requirements Document Executive Summary.
We have forwarded your comments to EPRI for their consideration. However, several of your comments and questions concerned NRC licensing 'rocedures and regulations. Our review of the EPRI Document and any concurrence which we might give will not result in any changes to our procedures or regulations.
While we do not plan to issue a summary of comments, we expect that many of '
the comments will be reflected in the final version of the EPRI Document. We will send you a copy of the staff's evaluation of that Document when it is issued.
