v-a September 16, 1999 ALL AGREEMENT STATES MINNESOTA, OKLAHOMA, PENNSYLVANIA, WISCONSIN OTHER INFORMATION: PUBLIC MEETING ON IMPLEMENTATION ISSUES RELATED TO THE PROPOSED RULE ON GENERALLY LICENSED DEVICES (SP-99-065)

The Nedear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is hosting a public meeting on October 1,1999, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Two White Flint North Auditorium), to discuss issues related to the control and accountability of generally licensed devices (64 FR 48333; September 3,1999, enclosed). The meeting will include discussion of implementation issues related to the proposed rule (64 FR 40295; July 26,1999), which would establish additional requirements for generci licensees under 10 CFR 31.5, and for vendors of devices used by these licensees.

NRC has forwarded a copy of the Federal Reaister notice announcing the meeting to the vendors in the NRC database, including some Agreement State vendors. You may want to specifically notify the vendors in your State to assure that they are aware of the meeting.
