The University does not agree with the NRC's interpretation of the rule. However, with the NRC's interpretation in mind, the University provides the NRC with the following notification. This notification is provided with the understanding that the University n=" begin using any of the existing listed buildings for NRC licensed activities at any time and the University does not want any of the buildings or the locations of use which cover the buildings removed from the license.

The following buildings previously were used for NRC licensed activities under the University's broad scope license, .icense number 34-06903-05, and have not been used for NRC licensed activities during the last 24 months.

Raymond Wal ters College H Pavilion (only bas nnent still exists)

Old Operating Pavilion Clinic -Reception Building (a.k.a. Out Patient Reception)

G Pavilion (no longer exists)

Holmes Hospital Previous radioactive material usage areas within the buildings have been surveyed and are, according to licenso conditions, being used as unrestricted areas or are labeled with the " caution radioactive material" signage required by the license. Survey recorde for the areas of use are avadlable from the University of Cincinnati Radiation Safety Office.

As stated above, radioactive material usage may begin in any of the existing buildings at anytime.
