1. References (a) and (b) ainounced the implementation of the Navy Radioactive Material Permit Program for the use and control of radioactive material within the Navy and Marine Corps. Reference (c) establishes the Navy Radiation Safety Committee to manage the permit program and designates Navy Environmental Health Center (NAVENVIRHLTHCEN) as the technical support center to the Navy Radiation Safety Committee for Medical Radioactive Material Permits. Reference (d) establishes the Navy Radioactive Material Permit (NRMP) program for Medical Department activities.
2. Existing Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) licenses and Naval Medical Command Authorizations for use of radioactive material are being replaced by Navy Radioactive Material Permits. Your NRC licenses are administratively converted to NRMPs with the following permit numbers and expiration dates:
