LISTING OF ALL LICENSEE EXEMPTION REQUESTS RECEIVED AND DENIED This memorandum is a request for a listing of all licensee exemption requests received, and those requests that were denied, in order to respond to a request to update the serniannual rulemaking plan. In accordance with the Staff Requirements Memorandum dated January 29, 3 1997, responding to SECY-96-249, " Staff Response to SRM on SECY-96-147 Regarding Reducing Need for Exemptions and Consistency of the Exemption Process," the staff is required to include the listing of exemption requests received, granted, and denied in the Rulemaking Activity Plan to allow for routine Commission monitoring (for " recurring exemption" requests). In P&GD 1-22, Rev,1, " Policy and Criteria for Initial Processing of incoming Licensing Actions," dated April 15,1997, the regions were requested to maintain a listing of all exemptions requested, granted, and denied until such time as the License Tracking System (LTS) is revised. The LTS was revised on November 6,1997. Please provide the listing of all exemption requests received, and those requests that were denied from July 1,1997, through November 6,1997, by May 29,1998. IMNS will search the LTS for exemptions received, granted, and denied after November 6,1997.
