TVA letter to NRC dated June 7, 1996 In accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 50.4 and 50.90, TVA is submitting a supplemental change to the referenced l request for an amendment to SON's licenses DPR-77 and 79 to

( change the TCs for Units 1 and 2. The proposed revision is being made.in response to NRC staff comments. This change will replace the direct reference to the Nuclear Quality Assurance Plan (TVA-NOA-PLN89-A) in TS Section 6.3.1, Facility Staff Qualifications, with the actual requirements j stated in TVA-NOA-PLN89-A. This change is also consistent l f with the corresponding Section 5.3.1 of NUREG-1431, Revision 1, " Standard Technical Specifications Westinghouse Plants."

l l TVA has determined that the significant hazards consideration l associated with the proposed change in the referenced letter I is still valid and that the change continues to be exempt from environmental review pursuant to the provisions of 10 CFR 51. 22 (c) ( 9) . These evaluation are not resubmitted in this supplemental request. Additionally, in accordance with 10 CFR 50. 91(b) (1) , TVA is sending a copy of this letter and enclosures to the Tennessee State Department of Public  !

s U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Page 2 May*28, 1998 Enclosure 1 contains copies of the appropriate TS pages from Units 1 and 2 of the referenced letter marked-up to show the supplemental change. Enclosure 2 forwards the affected revised TS pages for Units 1 and 2 that incorporate the supplemental change. TS pages from the referenced letter that are not included in this request are not affected by this supplemental request and should be processed as previously requested.
