Dear Mr. Murley:
The re'erenced lett r proposed a meeting with your staff to discuss the ststus of modifications and enhancements at Dresden and Quad Cities which implement recommendations from the respective Detailed Control Room Design TAvlews (DCRDR).
After discussious with the NRR Project Managers, the meeting has been scheduled for November 16, 1988, in Chicago. A draft agenda has been provided to Mr. B L. Siegel. The meeting will include a program overview, a summary of completed and on-schedule HED corrections, and more detailed discussions of items for which the previously proposed schedules have not been maintained or which are now projected to be unachievable on th's original schedules.
The discussion of these past due or coming due items for which relief is requested will include reasons for the deferrals and the basis for concluding that there is no significant impact on safe or efficient operation as a result of delayed implementation.
In addition to the items indicated on the draft agenda, we will also address our plans to improve commitment tracking and project management for this and other complex projects involving large numbera of individual actions with multiple department interfaces. DCRDR, for example, involves from 300 to 500 items per unit with three corporate departments, several station departments, and several consultants and contractors.
