Dear Mr. Garcia:
This is to inform you that Rockwell International personnel will be assisting UCSB personnel, under the direction of Dr. E. Profio as Senior Reactor Operator, in performing the defueling of the L-77 Research Reactor. This work will be done according to a procedure reviewed and approved by UCSB Reactor Operations Committee.
The work is scheduled to begin February 18 and should be complete February 21. Two small check sources (Tc-99 and Th-230, each less than 0.01 microcurie) will be used in conjunction with this work and are allowed under the UCSB State of California radioactive materials license.
