Dear Mr. Chairman:

This letter forwards a response by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Office of Investigations (OI) to a verbal request from your Subcommittee staff for documents concerning medical misadministrations, radiography overexposures and responses to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests filed by the Cleveland Plain Dealeg.

The documents identified in the November 24, 1992 memorandum from B. Barber to W. Hutchison contain investigative information and are not available to the public. Since the documents have not been publicly disclosed, we request that you preserve their confidentiality through restricting access and use to the Members and Staff of the Subcommittee. The OI reports and the FOIA requests are public documents.
