This letter transmits the findings of me resident safety inspection conducted by hiessrs. J. J.
Lyash and P. P. Ilonnett and his, bl. G. Evans from November 1 through December 14,1992,
at the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, Delta, Pennsylvania. The inspectors based these
fin' dings on ob v stion of activities, interviews and document reviews, and discussed them with
hir, K. P. Po- of your staff.
The inspectors noted that your oversight of activities associated with the Unit 2 outage and
restart was very good, llowever, the inspectors identined two completed plant operating
procedures which had not been appropriately retained. The consequence of this deficiency was
of minor safety signincance, and corrective action was initiated promptly,. Accordingly, the
NRC is exercising discretion, as described in Section V.A of the NRC Enforcement Policy, in
not citing the violation.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and
its enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
