III. : UnderI ARTICLE III - CONSIDERATION AND PAYMENT, Paragraph A, Estimated Cost, Fixed Fee and Obligations, subparagraphs 1 and 3 are changed to read as follows:

. Page 3 of 3 The contractor shall provide the appropriate professional effort, facilities, and support services to complete the following tasks under Phase IV, Task 4:

Suptask 1 -- Perform approximately five tests in which SF6 tracer gas is released and remotely measured downwind using the ALAP.M airborn lidar. Independent direct measurements of SF6 and of wind speed and direction will also be obtained.

Subtask 2 -- Reduce and analyze the data resulting from Task 1. Compare the ALARM measurements of SF6 with the directly measured values, and check both types of measurements against expected concentrations calculated from a suitable diffusion model.

Subtask 3 -- On the basis of the Task 2 results, . assess the perfornance of the ALARM system for measuring SF 6 , with emphasis on the following criteria:

o Measurement sensitivity (minimum detectable concentrations) o Spatial resolution o Temporal resolution o Costs (versus costs of other techniques) o Overall operational feasibility for NRC-type dispersion tests.

c Subtesk 4 -- Report the results of the study in a Comarchensive T.:: Ort to be prcvided to the NRC upon completion of the technical cifort.

In eddition, provide an oral presentation of tr.e stud;. results to the NRC staff cnd NRC contractor representatives.

v Reports shall remain in accordance with the basic contract.
